When you sing for a living, you literally can't afford to be sick.
So during flu and cold seasons Rene goes off to work with an arsenal of home remedies I coerce him into taking....
L-Lysine for an immunity boost
a double dose of Emergen-C (best stuff ever!)
Multi Vitamins
Freshly made juice. (this morning's was apple, kale, lemon, ginger. It tasted pretty great).

I'm big on home remedies. When I had a sinus infection I steamed water in a bowl and put eucalyptus oil in it to clear things up. It was very soothing.

Thank you for this!!! I have been trying to not get sick for the wedding. Usually I just take airborne or Vitamin C but this works.
My mom swears by Echinacea. I don't know... I just sanitize and cross my fingers. It usually doesn't work though. lol I have two little ones in daycare, so they bring home every single germ they can find!
Oh boy, do I need some of that juice!! We've been getting so sick this year, it's the worst. I usually load the family up on vitamin D and - this isn't so much to prevent sickness, but when we inevitably get sick, we put a few drops of eucalyptus and tea tree oil (to disinfect) in the humidifyers - which of course are on full blast. Also, a friend of mine told me that keeping a window cracked ever so slightly - even if it's cold outside - will help get fresh air circulated in the house and can help you get better quicker!
I found your blog while browsing the newbies over at 20sb, and I'm so glad I did! It's just so lovely. Welcome to our little community, Jess!
